The main concern in protection of metal products is how to deal with the unwanted corrosion. Moisture from high humidity, low uneven temperature and environmental pollution are the major factors that may cause corrosion.

 

* Don’t store metal collectibles in an enclosed space, where wide temperature fluctuation will cause condensation on metal surface

  

* Prevent articles from oils and greases

 

* Limit cleaning of metal objects to gentle removing dust, and greasy deposits

 

* Patina takes hundreds of years to grow and adds precious value to the metal collectibles, don’t try to remove the patina, it might devalue the article, especial to antiques.

 

* Polishing is not suggested unless you would like to preserve the items in a like-new condition

 

* Before packing and transporting,  cushion with acid-free tissues, foam and plastic bubbles
