However, special care is needed to prevent them from the most common threat—breakage.

 

* Remember to remove loose or detachable parts of ceramic collectibles such as lids, bases before packing and transporting

 

* Place plastic bubbles and soft fabric between ceramics to avoid breakage

 

* Don’t use oils, chemicals or cleaning sprays to clean or rub the surface

 

* Display ceramic in stable and less traffic area; don’t use closets near fireplaces or unheated attics
